She Roze -19_edited.jpg

After being recognized as “Songwriter of the Year” by the International Indigenous Hip Hop Awards in 2022, She-Rōze follows up her debut album, We Rise, with her fiery new single “Rumble” that is primed to set the Hip Hop world on fire this summer. The neck-snapping beat produced by NativeKeyz hits hard while her lyrics deliver a series of calculated and cunning strikes that reveala stunning range of style as raw as her confidence is infectious. The song masterfully builds into an audible knockout punch before DJ Reflekshin cuts on the rest of the track, which intentionally leaves plenty of room for dancers to ride the beat and get free.

She Roze -12.jpg

There is no box you can put She-Rōze in as an artist. She respectfully breaks every mold, paying homage to her vast musical, cultural and social influences while creating her own lane that’s indisputably intended to catalyze change in what feels like a world gone mad. Simply put, she’s a great songwriter, and arguably a sage who has been inconspicuously roaming through this world, quietly listening attentively to life to find her voice. She finally speaks up to clear the chaos from our minds and reveal the infinite truth of our times with her debut album, We Rise, co-produced by her husband and award-winning Indigenous Hip Hop artist, Artson.

“I have spent years making it a point to stay calm, collected and objective about everything that mattered. I was so vigilant about not letting my emotions cloud my judgement, thinking that was the way to develop wisdom and live a peaceful life,” she says. “But during the pandemic there were so many unconscionable social issues, devising media tactics and challenges trying to maintain this unsustainable daily grind in the new normal… and it's like the damn just broke. I can't hold back how I feel anymore. And I don't know if I even want to, or if I should. For myself, for those around me, and for the women in my community.”
